History: The most prolific football player in the history of Penn Football was surely "Concrete Charlie" Chuck Bednarik. The 3-Time All-American played both offense and defense and was a #1 Draft Choice in the NFL. Bednarick was a 10X First Team All-Pro and is a member fo the College and Pro Football Halls of fame. In addition to his heroics on the football field, Bednarik flew on 30 combat missions over Germany during WWII as a waist gunner. A REAL AMERICAN HERO!
