The Panini Top in Red by Issey Miyake features a sleeveless, sheer design with a classic crewneck. Its unique knit fabric gently bounces away from the body, offering a lightweight and comfortable fit that moves with you. Challenging the viewer’s preconception. Giving something that is supposed to be soft a sense of stiffness, exploring an iteration that is in between. By blending wool/alpaca yarn with thermoplastic synthetic fibers, when heat-pressed, the fabric hardens and forms crisp edges with a slight sheen—unusual for knitwear. The knitwear has an oversized fit with a crisp silhouette, juxtaposing rigidity and softness. Made in Japan.
