With a focus on elevated knitwear, the Olde Homesteader brand takes inspiration from vintage American boxers, specifically a deadstock pair of woven trunks from their archives - creating simple and exceedingly high quality base layers for daily wear. Produced in Japan, both Olde Homesteader utilizes premium Banshu-ori fabrics from Nishiwaki City, in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. These textiles are made traditionally, woven and dyed using the same regional techniques originally developed in the 1700s. This antique production is slow and deliberate, overseen by a small team of highly specialized craftspeople continuing a centuries-long tradition of local textile creation. This is a midweight fleece base layer, knit up with 100% cotton yarns, featuring a soft brushed interior and relaxed fit. The placket closes up with three catseye buttons, but everything else is fairly minimal, from the knit cuffs to the flat hem and side vents. True to size with a unisex fit.
